The purpose of this project is to create a global standard for destination travel information (DTI)* in order to exchange information among businesses and/or travelers. |
Based on the agreed business models, this project standardizes location identifiers and formalizes other DTI. This project may develop identifiers and necessary codes with location information for tourist facilities, such as designated world heritage properties, public facilities (public-toilets, emergency ward, police office, etc.) and take them with GPS coordinates. |
The project deliverables are - The class diagrams of the business transactions for the creation of the XML messages - ABIEs, BBIEs, ASBIEs and CCs (if necessary), based on the UN/CEFACT Core Component Technical Specification - BRS (Business Requirements Specification) and RSM (Requirements Specification Mapping) documents - Necessary identifier and code list |
The project leader submits the final draft to the Bureau when the public review is successful. He can declare the completion of the project after the Bureau approves it. |
The membership is open to experts with broad knowledge in the areas of DTI services, their e-business operation, and the functions of UN/CEFACT Forum. In addition any Head of Delegation may invite technical experts from their constituency to participate in the work. Experts are expected to contribute to the work based solely on their expertise. |
