Background Information
The Trade Facilitation Implementation Guide (TFIG) was developed by the UNECE with contributions from UN/CEFACT and financial support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). When a country decides to implement trade facilitation reforms, the Guide will help the stakeholder group (both public and private sector) to identify, examine and select available solutions and possible paths for the policy objectives.
Scope
The TFIG Focal Point is responsible for: a) Promoting and coordinating on TFIG with other Domains within UN/CEFACT b) Encouraging other Domains to review their work programmes to identify materials to enhance the offering already available in the TFIG c) Requesting other Domains to consider projects within their area of expertise that could add new material to the TFIG d) Reviewing regularly all UN/CEFACT contributions to the TFIG to ensure the information and material is up to date and remains of value to the objective of trade facilitation implementation e) Assisting the UNECE secretariat, when requested, with the maintenance of the TFIG website
