Project Purpose
UN/CEFACT has developed a number of XML standard messages for cross-industry and sectoral domains. In order to support interoperability even more a generic Application Error and Acknowledgement message is needed. The function of this message is to inform a message issuer that his message has been received by the addressee’s application and has been rejected due to errors encountered during its processing in the application and to acknowledge to a message issuer the receipt of their message by the addressee’s application.Project Scope
The project’s scope is to develop and publish the business requirements, message structure and XML schema for the Application Error and Acknowledgement process. The generic design of the message offers industry groups or local user communities the opportunity to contextualize the message by using the UN/CEFACT CCBDA methodology. The message will be assembled by using Message Business Information Entities (MBIEs). Besides, its equivalent will be derived from the Buy-Ship-Pay Reference Data Model or from one of its subsets.Project Deliverables

In addition, Heads of Delegations may invite technical experts from their constituency to participate in the work. Experts are expected to contribute to the work based solely on their expertise and to comply with the UN/CEFACT Code of Conduct and Ethics and the policy on Intellectual Property Rights.Geographical Focus
