Project Purpose

idproject_purpose
The project’s purpose is to update and publish the Textile and Leather BRS (Business Requirement Specification) part 2 with an additional use case and CCBDA (Core Component Business Document Assembly) data structure to support the reuse and recycle stages of the value chains through a digital representation and exchange of circular product and material data.

Project Scope

idproject_scope
Improving sustainability including circularity is one of the major objectives of most industries and sectors (domestic and international). Circular product data represents the digital identity of product and material data in such a way that it supports circular business models, including resale, rental, collections, sorting, and recycling. Especially brands want to be able to communicate product and material data from the first point of sale as resellers, sorters, and recyclers need a digital identity of products and materials to scale systems for circular lifecycle management. The Textile and Leather Data Model, part of the UN/CEFACT Buy-Ship-Pay model, covers all stages of product life cycle including the use, reuse and recycle stages, in connection with the circular economy approach. In 2020 the textile and leather data model for traceability and transparency was developed in a global and generic. This global and generic approach will apply for the extension of the specified use cases, the data model and derived CCBDA data structure.
The proposed project is, therefore, to develop an additional use case, CCBDA data structure and derived message (XML/JSON*) with the following objectives:
•	The scope of the project is international, cross-border, domestic and cross-industry.
•	Development of an additional use case and CCBDA data structure for the Textile and Leather BRS document part 2, according to the UN/CEFACT Modelling Methodology (UMM).
•	Development will take the EON Circular Product Data Protocol as an important contribution and by this the provides a basis for existing and future domain work.
•	Development will take the European Union Digital Product Product (DPP) data points as an important contribution and by this the provides a basis for existing and future domain work. Although an initial alignment of the DPP preliminary list of attributes with the UNCCL (UN Core Component Library) and EON contribution looks promising, some profound work on this should be conducted.
•	Development of the CC’s (Core Components) and BIEs (Business Information Entities) to be included in the UNCCL and in the derived textile and leather data model.

Project Deliverables

Text Area

Deliverable 1:

Updated Textile and Leather BRS part 2 with a use case and data structure reflecting the circular product data requirements.

Note: The project team may decide to create a separate BRS as part of the Sustainable Development and Circular Economy BRS, which is in development. The textile and Leather will then be a profile of this work.

Deliverable 2:

CCBDA data structure (model) to representing the digital identity of product and material supporting a circular economy.

Deliverable 3:

Submission file for possible new CCs and BIEs to be included in the UNCCL.

Deliverable 4:

Process-driven XML Schema based on the CCBDA data structure.

Deliverable 5:

A standardized API (Application Programming Interface) when supported by UN/CEFACT standards.
