The projects will build on the existing data pipeline model and the future CBM-RDM model to create a white paper and guidance material for exchange of data through multimodal digital corridors.
The scope of the project focuses on the regulatory aspects, including:
- Study of the need of multimodal digital corridors for air/sea/land modes of transport with focus on regulatory authorities
- Study of reusability of information between origin and destination stakeholders
- Study of existing similar initiatives
- Study the potential of integrating with Single Window facilities
- Study of other factors that delay cargo processing at air/sea/land borders that could be addressed through multimodal corridors
- Consider the common data elements with respect to the CBM-RDM
- Identify the regulatory aspects of key steps in setting up the air/sea/land multimodal corridors
- Study the possible regulatory challenges in setting up of multimodal digital corridors
- Identify technologies that can facilitate the creation of regulatory-related multimodal digital corridors
