Action items
- As a follow-up to the meeting today, we are going to upload all key background documents to inform the work of the experts, including the BRS Part 1 for Textile and Leather
- In the next few days, we will share an excel spreadsheet to request experts’ areas of expertise, also will share the business diagram mentioned in the meeting
- proposal to clarify the scope of the previous phases and coverage of fibre and other materials, products and value chain stages for the next follow-up call
- Next meeting to look at ISO definition for circularity (relevant info: ISO/TC 38/WG 35)
- Proposal to include the topic of textile clarification into the discussion (e.g. product catalogues) and which data to use;
- Proposal to have a vocabulary for garment and textiles (Jan Merckx to share via email), Andreas have relevant documents on that
- About classification, see UN/CEFACT Reference guide on code list and identifiers for textile and leather.
- Proposal to prolong the first phase to 3 months instead; need to identify key events and results of relevant processes and then decide the dates
- Organize some follow-up in-person project meetings during events like UN/CEFACT Forum in May
