  • Progress on draft of MLETR whitepaper from UN/CEFACT Experts.

  • Kay: We are now at Chapter 4.4, Long Term Data Preservation, of the draft
  • Miriam suggested to rewrite the first part (4.4) to explain.eg. New solutions should be backward compatible.
  • Discussion on integrity requirement of functional equivalent.
  • The life of ETR may have to extended for a significant period of time due to the nature of the transactions.eg. if a dispute arises, the document of title to goods may remain live for longer than anticipated. (note: for actual wording pls refer to actual draft)
  • This discussion ends before 4.5 Conflicts of Law.
  • 07-22 Latest version of the draft has been uploaded in the document share

5minOther Matters
  • Ian and Kay agreed on the date for the paper to be presented to Bureau, in 3 months, eg. end October.
  • Meeting will continue until end Oct, similar 3 weeks once schedule.   

Action items

  • Next conference call, in 3 weeks’ time (Week of 11-Aug-2022), to progress on MLETR draft.
